Man stabbed in wrist on city's South Side during robbery attempt


YOUNGSTOWN — A 20-year-old man told police he was stabbed in the wrist about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers were called to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital where the man was being treated. He told police he was at Hilton and South avenues when a man approached him and tried to rob him.

The victim said he resisted and was stabbed before his attacker ran away. Reports said the robber did not get anything.
