Charges filed in Ohio house fired that killed 2 children

EATON, Ohio (AP) — Felony child-endangerment charges have been filed against the mother of two young siblings who died in a house fire last weekend in western Ohio.

A complaint filed today in Eaton Municipal Court says 35-year-old Chastity Hall went out and left her 10-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son alone in the home before they perished in the early morning fire Saturday.

Authorities say the remains of Malea and Malachi Bradburn were found later in the home near West Alexandria.

The complaint says a fire official had been to the home before because Malachi was setting fires, and Hall had refused to get him counseling.

Hall was jailed with a $50,000 bond. She’ll be back in court March 4.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
