Stolen items recovered in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN — A number of stolen items were found in a bag Sunday in the township.

A resident of Kirk Road called authorities after finding a bag of items in their yard at 2:04 p.m. Sunday.

The bag contained these items: six GPS units, two GPS mounting brackets, one pair of earmuffs, two USB chords, one cellphone charger, a pair of sunglasses and a case for sunglasses.

Some of the GPS units were returned after authorities turned them on and found their "home addresses." Several of the GPS units had Canfield addresses, but both Canfield police and Mahoning County sheriff deputies did not report break-ins Sunday, the police report detailed.
