LAW

Poland Seminary High School graduate Francesca Kosec is an associate in the corporate and real-estate practice groups in Leech Tishman’s Pittsburgh office. Her practice involves counseling clients on business formations and reorganizations, negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, conducting due diligence reviews and dealing with a multitude of corporate governance issues. She also focuses on a broad range of real-estate transactional matters, including commercial and residential sales, acquisitions and leases. Kosec has experience advising clients on zoning and land-use compliance and approval.

MEDICINE

Dr. Geremie Palombaro, an ophthalmologist, recently joined the medical staff of Sharon Regional Health System. Dr. Palombaro graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, served an internship at University Hospitals in Cleveland and returned to LECOM to complete his ophthalmology residency and master’s of science in medical education. He completed a fellowship in oculoplastic and facial reconstructive surgery at Visione 360 in El Paso, Texas.

ValleyCare Health System of Ohio announced the appointment of Dr. Paul Rich as chief medical officer for Northside Medical Center.

NEW HIRES

Simon Roofing, a national manufacturer and installer of commercial roofing systems, floor resurfacing and concrete repair, recently expanded its national sales division with the addition of three Mahoning Valley natives. New national sales assistants working out of Simon Roofing’s corporate headquarters are Ben Kline of Canfield, Marisa Moro of Warren and Paula Schaefer of Niles. They are each responsible for identifying and qualifying national prospects, and assisting the vice president of national accounts with maintaining customer relationships across the country.

Simon also recently hired Chantelle Cortes of Poland as marketing assistant at its corporate headquarters in Boardman. Steve Morse of Poland was also hired as SR PreVision roof analyst for Simon. Morse will be responsible for roof inspections and analyses for commercial and government facilities.

PROMOTION

Roger Kreps Drywall & Plastering Inc. of Boardman announced that longtime employee Tony Dolan has been named as chief estimator.

FINANCIAL

Stephanie McCarty, a financial consultant with Thrivent Financial, has qualified to attend the Summit Circle conference because she provided outstanding financial guidance, solutions and service to members of the organization in 2014. Only 232 of Thrivent Financial’s 2,300 financial representatives qualified for this honor. McCarty is with Thrivent Financial’s Ohio Regional Financial Office, serving members in Poland and surrounding communities.
