Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., is getting crafty at 6:30 p.m. March 9 with a class on how to make tussie mussies.

All materials needed to make the cone-shaped flower holders will be provided free of cost.

Getting Crafty classes take place the second Monday of each month.

PFS reschedules its annual meeting

Protestant Family Service’s Annual Meeting on Feb. 16 that was canceled because of bad weather has been rescheduled for March 2.

The meeting will take place at St. Andrewes AME, at 521 W. Earle Ave.

Doors open at 5:50 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6.

Music will be provided by For Grace Male Chorus from Grace AME Church in Warren.

Reservations for a $25 donation can be made by calling 330-746-4600 by Wednesday.

Dinner to benefit cancer patient

Karen Leaf survived the tragic loss of a family member recently and now she faces the challenge of fighting stage three breast cancer.

On March 1, a dinner will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Columba social hall on Rayen Avenue.

The menu consists of stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, salad, bread, coffee, tea and dessert.

The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children.

To buy tickets call St. Columba rectory at 330-744-5233 or Kathy Snovak at 330-540-2646. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

There will be a 50-50 drawing and a lottery tree. Monetary donations can be mailed to St. Columba rectory, 159 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, OH 44503.

For takeout orders, call the rectory or Kathy Snovak by Friday.

3-D printing program scheduled at library

SALEM

Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will offer a program on 3-D printing technology.

3-D printing uses plastics and other materials to create objects, making it possible to create replacement parts, models, works of art, even prosthetic limbs all from a printer that anyone can learn to use.

An introductory program from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 4 in the Quaker Room will let attendees see the technology in action.

They will learn how you can use the printer, how to find resources and have a chance to ask questions.

No experience is necessary.

Library to offer ghost hunting
