Program on beavers next weekend at Jennings center

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.

Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, will offer a natural history program about beavers from 5 to 7 p.m. March 1.

The Jennings staff will teach participants about the animal that has made its presence known again at the park after a decade of absence.

The presentation will highlight the beaver’s adaptations to life in the water and capability of modifying its environment to promote its own survival.

The program is free and no registration is required.
