A summary of police activity in Austintown:

Feb. 2

Theft: Nadine Mellott, 30, of Hartzell Avenue, Youngstown was arrested in the theft of $138.15 in merchandise at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: An account was opened without consent at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Feb. 3

Fraud: $450 in Green Dot cards were stolen at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated menacing: Tyler Karabin, 21, of Staatz Drive, was arrested in connection with criminal damaging and endangering.

Theft: A wallet was stolen and credit cards used at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Charles Klasic, 44, of Matta Ave., Youngstown, was issued a summons in the theft of $195 of merchandise at Dollar General, 2002 S. Raccoon Road.

Disorderly conduct: Ivan Robles, 39, of Diana Drive, Poland was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at Hollywood Gaming, 777 Hollywood Drive.

Drug offense: A forged prescription was reported at Rite Aid, 6498 Mahoning Ave.

Forgery: An attempt to cash an altered check was made at Walmart.

Feb. 4

Breaking and entering: Copper was stolen from heating and cooling condensers at Dinesol Plastics,168 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: Christy Kegler, 40, of Cotler Ave., Akron was charged in the theft of $97.46 worth of merchandise at Walmart; and Hallie Whitman, 44, of Summers Road, East Rochester was charged with drug abuse for possession of methamphetamine.

Theft: A dealer plate was stolen at Austintown Auto Sales, 5275 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Wii controller and game were stolen from a home at Gateways, 3220 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Gloria Betts, 56, of Edinburgh Ave., was arrested in connection with theft at Walmart; Adriane Wilson, 30, homeless, was charged with theft; Jeremy Betts,29, homeless, was charged with obstructing official business, on a warrant for a weapons charge, shoplifting and possession of marijuana; and Shnrika Irby, 23, of Mary St., Youngstown was charged with complicity and several other charges. A report said $456.78 in merchandise was taken.

Sex offense: A photo was posted on a social media site at Austintown Fitch High School.

Lost or stolen property: An Ohio rear license plate was lost or stolen at the Sleep Inn, 5555 Interstate Blvd.

Feb. 5

Theft: There is a suspect in a theft in the 1000 block of Fountain Square Apartments.

Theft: Samuel Crowl, 30, of Cherry Court, Salem, was arrested in connection with shoplifting $17.44 in merchandise and criminal trespassing at Walmart.

Drug offense: Jelani Freeman, 32, of Raccoon Road was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and an open container.

Feb. 6

Breaking and entering: A break-in occurred at Squeaky Kleen Custodial Services, 1898 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Breaking and entering: A vacant residence was broken into in the 3000 block of Bryant Drive. Appliances were taken.

Theft: Items that were stolen were recovered at Amore, 4720 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A purse was taken and later recovered with cash missing at Walmart.

Theft: Unauthorized transactions were reported at a home in the 2000 block of Breezewood Drive.

Feb. 7

Theft: Cash was taken from an auto at Bill’s Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Two Ohio plates were taken from a vehicle at the Austin Square building, 5121 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Mariah Wigfall, 19, of Sixth St., Campbell was a issued a summons for a drug offense.

Burglary: Cory Williams, 25, of Bonnie Brae, Warren was arrested after he allegedly pried open the doors to Youngstown Development Center, 4891 County Line, while intoxicated.

Theft: A female landlord had $600 stolen from her purse in the 100 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Disturbance: A disturbance was reported at a home in the 5000 block of Radcliffe Ave.

Feb. 8

Drug offense: Dwayne Heard, 32, of Gluck St., Youngstown was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at Pandora, S. Four Mile Run Road and Huntmere Ave.

Domestic violence: Michael Sulich, 33, of S. Racoon Road was arrested on a domestic violence charge.

Burglary: There is a suspect in a burglary at the Austintown Fire Department building, 1198 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: Several prescription drugs were stolen from a vehicle at the Best Western Meander Inn, 870 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Breaking and entering: A vacant house was broken into and copper pipe was stolen in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Blvd.

Theft: Two drills were stolen by an unknown male at Walmart.

Domestic violence: Leo Petrosky, 37, of Redgate Lane was arrested on a charge of domestic violence.
