Multiple accidents snarl morning commutes

Police have just opened state Route 711 westbound because of an accident involving 10 vehicles this morning but Interstate 680 is still shut down in both directions at the Glenwood Avenue and Market Street exits because of a string of accidents.

A police spokesman said there were no serious injuries in any of the accidents. He did not have a cause yet for the multiple number of accidents.

The calls started coming in just after the morning commute began.
