Northside nurses get update on contract talks

YOUNGSTOWN

Registered nurses at Northside Medical Center were to meet at 8 a.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. today to receive an update on contract negotiations with the hospital which began in early January.

The nurses, members of the Youngstown General Duty Nurses Association, had today’s mass meetings at Teamsters Local 377 on Teamster Drive in Youngstown. The nurses’ one-year contract expires Feb. 27, a union official said.

Northside is an affiliate of ValleyCare Health System of Ohio, which includes Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Howland.
