The meeting of Croatian Pensioners that was scheduled for Thursday at the Croatian Center has been canceled because of the weather.

Medical assistants set education event

YOUNGSTOWN

Tri-County Chapter of Medical Assistants will host an education seminar at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at National College, 3487 Belmont Ave.

Library offers various programs

NEWTON FALLS

Newton Falls Public Library, 204 S. Canal St., offers Book Bites for fourth- through eighth-graders at 4:30 p.m. Thursdays.

The event includes a snack. Registration is accepted any time.

Family Time is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays for families with children 21/2 to 5. Songs, books and games are planned.

Not Your Typical Tuesday is geared to kindergarten- to sixth-grade students and planned at 7 p.m. Tuesdays.

Activities include cooking, games, science experiments and more. Tuesday will be Inventors’ Workshop.

Baby Bugs is an interactive program offered at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays for babies 6 to 36 months and their caregivers. Sessions include music and books.

Story Time is for 21/2- to 5-year-olds at 11 a.m. Wednesdays and includes stories, songs and crafts.

An Internet Basics session will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, and participants will learn about online options.

Italian classes set

YOUNGSTOWN

Beginning and advanced Italian classes are being offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave.

Registration and the first day of class is Feb. 26. Classes end May 14.
