Strickland resigns from Center for American Progress Action Fund
WASHINGTON — Former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, who is raising money for a 2016 U.S. Senate bid, has resigned as president of the Center for American Progress Action Fund.
Strickland, a Democrat, left the left-leaning organization Friday as he prepares his campaign for the Senate seat held by Republican Rob Portman, who’s up for re-election next year.
The Vindicator exclusively reported today Strickland started raising money Monday for his campaign, and asked donors to write checks to “Strickland for Senate.”
