Driver dies in plunge

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio

Police say a man was found dead in his vehicle after it plunged over a cliff along the Lake Erie shoreline in Northeast Ohio.

A news release from the Cleveland suburb Sunday says someone called 911 shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday to report that a vehicle car had gone over a cliff at a city park.

Emergency personnel pulled the man’s body from the wreckage and took it to the Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County medical examiner’s office.

Police say they won’t release the man’s name until his relatives have been notified.
