CityScape sets sights on night of honors

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown CityScape, the nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown through beautification, preservation and education, will host a Grass Roots Gala honoring Pete Asimakopoulos and First National Bank.

The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26 with a social dinner at 6:30 p.m. at the Mill Creek MetroParks’ Davis Center, 123 McKinley Ave.

Since 2010, Youngstown CityScape has awarded the Sweet Grass Roots Award to an individual who has made a significant personal and professional commitment to the organization’s mission of revitalizing downtown Youngstown.

Asimakopoulos and First National Bank have been key champions of these efforts through their contribution of volunteer time and financial support, the nonprofit group said in a news release.

The public is invited.
