Melinda Trimmer scored 25 points and dished out 10 assists for West Branch. Pavin Heath added 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors (21-1, 14-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Chloe Cheresne scored 13 points and grabbed seven boards for the Quakers (12-9, 6-8).

Victoria Rappach and Sara Price each scored 20 points for the Tigers (16-5). Rappach made six 3-pointers. Alexis Ross contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and four steals. For the Eagles (4-16), Michelle Peachock scored 14 points and Logan Nitsche 11.

Alasjia Dykes scored 11 points, Clarissa McKinney and Chelsea Dipaolo each added 10 for the Raiders (12-10). Jaclyn Yankle had 16 points and Kelly Williams added 12 points for Mooney (8-13).

Division I north sectional
AKRON
Boardman senior Brooke Bailey placed fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.07) and fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:00.53) to help the Spartans place seventh in the 16-team sectional at the University of Akron. Bailey joined Logan Mitchell, Amanda Moss and Corie Kuras on the fifth-place 200 free relay and Sarah Gonda, Kuras and Moss on the seventh-place 200 medley relay. Kuras also placed fourth in the 50 free and Madison Rast was eighth in diving. Canfield’s 200 medley relay of Sarah Heaven, Theresa Mikolay, Maggie Beistel and Rachel Williams placed fifth in 1:53.54.

AKRON
Warren Harding senior Emily Thirion placed second in the 50 free (24.71) and fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.66) at the University of Akron. She also swam on the seventh-place 200 free relay with Holly Angelo, Cara Hernon and Allie Charnas and the eighth-place 400 free relay with the same three teammates.

Poland’s Madeline Evan was fourth in both the 100 fly and the 100 back to help the Bulldogs place ninth in the 23-team meet. Gina Ungaro was sixth in the 100 free and Evan and Ungaro joined Logan Kountz and Avery Blasko on the fourth-place 400 free relay. Blasko, Evan and Ungaro joined Marissa Melillo on the fifth-place 200 free relay. Cardinal Mooney’s 200-yard medley relay team of Taylor Tofil, Maddie Leek, Mackenzie Hammond and Annie Boniface placed fifth in 2:01.13 to help the Cardinals finish ninth. Tofil also placed second in the 100 butterfly (1:03.57) and fifth in the 100 back. Boniface placed fourth in the 200 free. Youngstown Christian senior Jessica Morrow was third in the 200 IM and the 100 breast. Teammate Tess Emerson was seventh in the 100 back.
