Brian Fryda scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, to help Boardman. Holden Lipke added 15 points and Gannon Murray had 13 for the Spartans (9-11, 5-6). Matt DiDonato led Edgewood with 16 points.

WARREN

Gabe Simpson scored 16 points, Shondell Jackson had 14 and Jarelle Johnson 13 to lead Harding. Malik Marrow led East with 13 points.

LaBrae 45, Newton Falls 43

NEWTON FALLS

Carlton Brown scored 15 points and Michael Eakins added 12 for LaBrae, which outscored the Tigers 31-18 in the second half. Adam Czerniak led the Tigers (12-7, 7-5) with 11 points.

NILES

Cameron Kane scored 20 points and Muhammad Salaam added 18 for the Red Dragons. Victor Williams had 15 points to lead the Tigers.

Austin Rutecki scored 20 points on his way to becoming the first junior to reach 1,000 career points for the Blue Devils (15-5). Avery Andric added 17 points for Lisbon. Grant Wagner had 12 points to lead the Bulldogs.

HANOVERTON

Garrett Anderson scored 24 points for South Range. Brandon Youngs connected on five 3-pointers for the Raiders. Jake Clark had 19 and Caleb Berdine had 18 for the Eagles.

NORTH JACKSON

Devin Rice scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds and Diego Villatoro added 19 points to lead the Clippers. Mike Assion scored 16 points for the Bluejays.

Western Reserve 49, Sebring 43

BERLIN CENTER

Nolan Snyder scored 13 points and Joe Falasca had 12 for Western Reserve. The Blue Devils won despite getting outscored by six in the second half. Josh Zmuda led the Trojans with 14 points.

LOWELLVILLE

Paolo DePasquale hit five of Lowellville’s 12 3-pointers. DePasquale finished with 23 points, while Alex Harklerode added 18 points for the Rockets, who scored 20 fourth-quarter points. Justin Miller had a team-high 16 points for the Tigers.

DJ Pullie led Salem with 25 points. Jon Gerace added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Quakers. Jeremy Gorby recorded a double-double for the Warriors (8-11, 4-8) with 15 points and 10 boards.

Edgar Toledo scored 15 points and Mike Williams added 13 for the Red Devils. Glen Hoffman had 24 points and Nathan Sommers added 11 for the Lions.

Troy Holden had 16 points, Aron Sevek added 14 points and the Indians used a 17-7 second quarter to pull away. Zane Rummell led the Rams with seven points.

THOMPSON

Bristol had five players in double figures, led by Nate Novicki’s 18 points. The Panthers made 40 field goals in the game. Logan Leichtman scored 12 for the Redskins.

Parker Rickey scored 21 points and had four assists for Windham. Chandler Blewitt added 20 points and six boards for the Bombers (8-12, 7-7). Clay Miller led the Braves with 16 points and Hunter Hall had 10 rebounds.

Bryanna McClurg scored 12 points while Maddie Williams and Paige Sponsler scored 10 apiece for the Mustangs. Taylor Kramer and Harley Logan led the Braves with 16 and 14 points, respectively.

Division II sectional

AKRON

Canfield senior Connor Brady set sectional records in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100 backstroke and helped the Cardinals set the sectional mark in the 400 free relay en route to a decisive team title at the University of Akron. Brady swam a 51.04 in the butterfly to break the previous mark of 51.36, set by Walsh Jesuit’s Alex Kornick in 2009. He finished in 52.28 in the backstroke, breaking the mark of 52.67 set by Michael Reilman of Walsh in 2013. And he joined Ben Brucoli, Alec Gaetano and Matthew Bogen on the 400 free relay, which finished in 3:16.79 to break Walsh’s six-year-old mark. Canfield finished with 360 points, while Bay Village Bay was second with 273. Hubbard was 10th, Poland 12th and Howland 21st in the 22-team meet. Brady also joined Bogen, Brucoli and Kyle Anderson on the winning 200 medley relay (1:40.44). Anderson also won the 200 IM (2:01.52) and the 500 free (4:54.86) and joined Cullen Brady, Kamran Sarac and Gaetano on the third-place 200 free relay. Gaetano won the 200 free (1:52.47) and was sixth in the 100 butterfly. Cullen Brady was fourth in the 200 free and sixth in the 100 back, Brucoli was fourth in both the 50 free and the 100 free, Bogen was fourth in the 100 breast and seventh in the 100 free and Jared Rothbauer was fifth in the 200 IM. Hubbard sophomore Alex Fox was third in the 500 free and sixth in the 200 free. He joined Robbie Dixon, Hunter Herzberger and Tyler Rich on the seventh-place 400 free relay. Poland’s David Robich was seventh in the 500 free and eighth in the 200 free. Anthony Lattanzio placed fifth in the 100 breast.

Division I north sectional

AKRON

Boardman sophomore Dominic Mariano placed first in one-meter diving with 349.85 points and Spartans junior Aaron DunLany placed third in the 500-yard freestyle (4:57.68) and fifth in the 200 free (1:49.24) to lead the Spartans to a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams at the University of Akron. DunLany was on the fifth-place 200 free relay, joining Ethan Schwendeman, Tyler Calpin and Kyle Kimerer, and the sixth-place 400 free relay along with Callen Aulizia, David Zaitzew and Kimerer. Aulizia also placed fourth in the 50 free (22.52) and fourth in 100 free (49.49) and helped the Spartans place seventh in the 200 medley relay with Andrew O’Nesti, Calpin and Schwendeman. Austintown Fitch sophomore Timothy Kubacki was fourth in the 100 fly (54.57) and seventh in the 100 back (55.62)

Division I south sectional

AKRON

Warren Harding senior Dylan Thirion placed second in the 100 free (47.91) and fifth in the 50 free (21.99) to help the Raiders place eighth in the 14-team sectional. Harding junior Michael Miller was second in the 50 free (21.61) and seventh in the 100 butterfly (56.15), while Nathan Marchek was seventh in the 100 free (49.75).The Raiders placed second in the 200 free relay (Marchek, Miller, Justyn Morgan, Thirion) and fourth in the 400 free relay (Miller, Marchek, Thirion and Quentin Stokes).
