Four finalists selected for Eastern Gateway presidency

YOUNGSTOWN

Eastern Gateway Community College trustees have selected four finalists for the college presidency.

Long-time President Laura Meeks is retiring in July.

The finalists:

• Jimmie Bruce, vice president of academic success at Northwest VistaCollege, one of five independently accredited colleges within the Alamo Colleges, Texas.

• Lada Gibson-Shreve, provost and chief academic officer at Stark State College.

• Derrick Manns, executive vice chancellor at Fletcher Technical Community College and South Central Louisiana Technical College.

• Anthony Summers, vice president for student development at Richland College, one of seven independently accredited colleges in the Dallas County Community College District in Texas.

Open forums will be conducted for each candidate both in Steubenville and in Youngstown. The forums run March 2 through March 5.
