Umar Kamara, 47, of Akron faces charges of assault and felonious assault after police said he injured a woman by dragging her with his car on Market Street on Wednesday.
When police responded to the incident, they discovered that Kamara dragged the victim along with his car after they got into a dispute in his car and the victim attempted to leave the vehicle before he started driving.

Kamara admitted to police he pushed the victim and tried to get her out of his car while he was driving.
The victim sustained minor injuries. Kamara is free on bond pending a future appearance in Mahoning County Area Court here.
