OSHP investigating 2-vehicle crash in Howland

HOWLAND — Two people were treated for nonlife-threatening injuries in a 5:50 p.m. Wednesday two-vehicle crash on state Route 46 that slowed traffic for one hour.

A car driven by Charlotte Hildreth, 31, of Cortland was northbound on Route 46 and lost control, traveling left of center and striking head-on a southbound car driven by Douglas Deciancio, 45, from Warren.

Hildreth and passenger, James Snowden, 34, of Youngstown, were transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. Deciancio was treated at the scene with a hand injury.

Both southbound lanes of Route 46 were closed for approximately one hour, though traffic was able to use the center turning lane during the closure.

The Southington post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues its investigation.
