Suspect in death of South Side store owner found guilty of probation violation
YOUNGSTOWN — The suspect in the November shooting death of a South Avenue store owner was found guilty today of a probation violation in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
Larry McDonald, 19, received a sentence of 18 months in prison by Judge R. Scott Krichbaum on a charge of carrying concealed weapon for which he had originally been sentenced to probation. The 18 months is the maximum sentence he can receive.
McDonald faces charges of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery for the November shooting death of Abdullah Nagi Mahdi in his store, Reemas Fashion. McDonald was wounded in the same incident.
