Arrest made after incident in Boardman

BOARDMAN — Multiple police cruisers responded to an incident in which a man reportedly dragged a woman along the street in his car on Market Street today.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately available, was arrested on charges of assault and felonious assault.

Police say the incident started at a Market Street hair salon near Indianola Road with a dispute between the store owner and an employee. The male owner then reportedly dragged the female victim along with his car as he drove down the street.

Police said the fight then continued at Market and Willow Drive, where the suspect got into a fight with the victim’s boyfriend. The victim did not sustain any major injuries, police said.
