Firefighters battle East Side blaze

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire crews are mopping up a blaze at a 2953 Karl St. home that broke out about 3 p.m.

The fire appeared to have started on the second floor of the East Side house.

An elderly woman was taken to the hospital. There is no word on her condition at this time.
