Man arrested on weapons charges

YOUNGSTOWN

Police arrested a man on weapons-related charges Monday after getting a 911 call about two men with guns on the 2600 block of Tyrell Avenue.

Police found the two men walking down the street and reportedly saw one throw a gun onto the ground.

One man was released with a criminal trespass warning, and the other, Dontrail Burkes, 24, was arrested on charges of carrying concealed weapons and felon in possession of a weapon.

Burkes was taken to the Mahoning County jail, where he was booked on those charges.
