UPDATE | I-76, I-80 traffic snarled by accidents

NORTH JACKSON — Driver inattention appears to be the cause of a crash between a tractor trailer truck and a car that caused injuries at 7:09 a.m. today on Interstate 76 at the Bailey Road interchange, according to Lt. Nakia Hendrix, commander of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Canfield Post.

There were no fatalities, he said.

The crash backed up traffic on Interstate 76 eastbound during the morning rush hour.

A Vindicator employee en route to work said he also saw an overturned truck on the on-ramp of Interstate 80 from Interstate 76 at about the same time.
