Boardman man cited for driving drunk in Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN — Police say a man who crashed his car into a utility pole in the 3000 block of Market Street about 4:40 p.m. Saturday and walked away was more than double the legal limit for driving drunk.
Police responding to the wreck found no one inside the car and were then told by witnesses that a man with a bloody nose walked away. Officers found Peter Bugno, 42, of Appleridge Circle in Boardman, on East Philadelphia Avenue with a bloody nose and wearing the same clothes the driver was said to be wearing.
According to police, Bugno admitted to drinking and flunked a field-sobriety test. He was taken to the police station for a breath-analysis test, where his blood-alcohol content registered .216, reports said. The legal limit in Ohio is .08.
Police cited Bugno for driving under the influence and released him with a court date later this month.
