Shooting at jazz club ends in Youngstown's second homicide of 2015

A man who was shot in front of the Partners Jazz and Blues Lounge on Oak Hill Avenue died at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, police report.

Dejuan Thomas, 33, no address available, died while being treated in the emergency room Saturday morning, a police report says.

Police were called to the hospital for a victim with a gunshot wound, where an officer found a Dodge Neon parked at the emergency-room entrance with the passenger door open, a large amount of blood in the car and the back passenger window shattered.

Thomas' death is the city's second homicide of 2015. At this time in 2014, no homicides had yet occurred.
