Members of the Holy Family Youth Ministry and their families were treated to a tour of St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown on Jan. 18.

The tour was administered by Sister Isabel Rudge, OSU, Pastoral Minister at St. Columba and Barb Zorn, Cathedral friend and Cantor.

Zorn took the group up into the choir loft and explained the meaning of the stained glass windows in the choir gallery and the workings and history of the pipe organ.

After the tour the Youth Ministry stayed for 4 p.m. Mass and Liturgy of the Hours for Life, which is the daily prayer of the Church, marking the hours of each day and sanctifying the day with prayer.

They were also welcomed by their presider, Reverend Edward Brienz, Parochial Vicar for the Diocese, from the altar at the beginning of Mass.
