Canfield boys swimmers defeat opponents


The Canfield High School swim teams participated in a meet against GlenOak on Jan. 24. The girls team lost with a score of 99-76, while the boys team claimed victory with a score of 105-72.

Top swimmers for the girls team included Sarah Heaven (first in the 200 medley relay, 200 individual medley, 100 backstroke; second in the 400 free relay), Theresa Mikolay (first in the 200 medley relay, 100 breaststroke; second in the 100 freestyle, 400 free relay), Morgan Weiss (second in the 200 breaststroke; third in the 200 medley relay, 200 individual medley, 200 free relay), Maggie Beistel (first in the 200 medley relay, 100 butterfly; second in the 400 free relay), Rachel Williams (first in the 200 medley relay; second in the 500 freestyle, 400 free relay), Carlie Oddo (first in diving and third in the 200 free relay), Marissa Marzano (third in the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay), Ally McCartney (third in the 200 medley relay), Maddie Remby (third in the 200 medley relay) and Zoe DiDomenico (third in the 200 free relay).
