Purdue 60, No. 20 Ohio State 58

WEST LAFAYETTE, IND.

Rapheal Davis scored 20 points and Purdue staved off a late rally to upset Ohio State. The surging Boilermakers (15-8, 7-3 Big Ten) have won four straight overall and three in a row over ranked teams — the first time they’ve done that as an unranked team since early 1979. The Buckeyes (17-6, 6-4) were led by D’Angelo Russell’s 20 points, but his 40-foot desperation heave at the buzzer came up way short. Ohio State played without Marc Loving, suspended for unknown reasons.

No. 4 Duke 72, Georgia Tech 66

DURHAM, N.C.

Quinn Cook scored all 17 of his points in the second half, and Duke beat Georgia Tech to give coach Mike Krzyzewski his Atlantic Coast Conference-record 423rd league win. Justise Winslow added 15 points and fellow freshman Jahlil Okafor had 14 for the Blue Devils (19-3, 5-3).

No. 7 Villanova 70, Marquette 50

PHILADELPHIA

Ryan Arcidiacono scored 18 points and Darrun Hilliard had 12 to lead Villanova. Daniel Ochefu grabbed nine rebounds and Josh Hart scored 11 points in the latest romp for Villanova (20-2, 7-2 Big East).

No. 10 Notre Dame 71, Boston College 63

SOUTH BEND, IND.

Jerian Grant and Steve Vasturia scored 17 points apiece, and Notre Dame held off Boston College. Zach Auguste added 16 points for the Fighting Irish (21-3, 9-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who bounced back from a disappointing loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday.

No. 17 Maryland 64, Penn State 58

COLLEGE PARK, MD.

Dez Wells scored 23 points, Jon Graham scored 12 of his career-high 16 after halftime and Maryland edged Penn State to avert its first losing streak of the season. The Terrapins (19-4, 7-3 Big Ten) were tied with 4:59 left and barely got past a 12th-place team seeking its first league win on the road.

W. Michigan 67, Kent State 66

KALAMAZOO, MICH.

Connar Tava’s driving layup lifted Western Michigan. David Brown’s 3-pointer got Western Michigan within a point of the Golden Flashes with 1:10 remaining. After Chris Ortiz missed a 3-pointer for Kent State and following a timeout, Tava put in a spinning hook shot with 10 seconds remaining. Kent State’s Devareaux Manley drove to the hoop but his shot missed as time expired.

Ohio 83, Akron 82

ATHENS

Javarez Willis pumped in 31 points to match his career-high, including six 3-pointers, and Ohio withstood a furious comeback bid by Akron. Deji Ibitayo finished with 21 points to lead Akron (15-7, 6-3).
