The owner of a dog that was found with an arrow in its head on the East Side pleaded no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct.
Gina Gasior, 48, pleaded no contest before municipal Judge Elizabeth Kobly on Wednesday.
Kevin Hallquist, Mahoning County deputy dog warden, said Gasior was offered a chance to plead no contest because she has complied with all requirements for being a dog owner.
The dog was found wandering about noon Dec. 22 at Miami and Scioto avenues on the East Side with an arrow through its head. The arrow was removed after an operation and the dog is doing well, Hallquist said.
Hallquist said Gasior had nothing to do with the dog being wounded and he still is searching for the person responsible for firing the arrow at the dog.
