YSU coach Bo Pelini not a fan of Signing Day

— Youngstown State football coach Bo Pelini clearly prefers coaching to recruiting.

Pelini, who announced the signings of 30 players to national letters of intent on Wednesday, said he thinks players should sign when they commit.

The first-year Penguins coach said he is not a big fan of Signing Day and the "12 hours of kids putting on hats on TV."

Pelini said say that recruiting in more densely populated Ohio proved easier than it had been in Nebraska.

"I was able to recruit in the car," he said.
