Pelini: 'Measurables' not as important

— One thing different in Youngstown State's recruiting efforts in 2015 is less of an emphasis on what coaches refer to as "measurables."

First-year Penguins coach Bo Pelini said those aren't high on his list of priorities.

"I don't get caught up in measurables, how fast a kid runs 40 and those different things," Pelini said.

That's a departure from his predecessor, Eric Wolford, whose recruiting classes often contained players with eye-catching 40 times and vertical leaps, but appeared to lack football intangibles.
