Pelini: Efforts focused on Ohio and Pennsylvania

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State football coach Bo Pelini said his recruiting efforts were focused regionally.

"We went outside the state a little bit but we really focused our efforts on the state of Ohio and Western Pennsylvania," said Pelini, who was hired in December to replace the fired Eric Wolford.

"I like this group of kids. We have some local kids," Pelini said.

The first-year coach said there will be a few more local players who will join team as walk-ons.
