OSHP investigating accident on I-680 near Route 11 in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN — The Ohio State Highway Patrol and fire department crews were at the scene this evening of a serious crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 680 near state Route 11.

The accident happened at 5:35 p.m. The truck was on its side, and the fire department was still trying to get it upright at 7:30 p.m., an OSHP dispatcher said. The driver is very seriously injured, he said.

The westbound lane of Interstate 80, near the split with I-680, is closed until further notice. No other details were available.
