Charity basketball game at Beeghly

YOUNGSTOWN

The annual Game of Hope charity basketball game will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in Beeghly Center on the Youngstown State University campus. Community leaders, elected officials and media members will play in the game, which raises money for chronically and terminally ill children. Tickets are $5 ($3 for chldren 12 and under).

The event will include a kids fun zone, with inflatables and games, beginning at 1 p.m. Go to hopemv.org for information.

Participants include Det. John Gocala Jr. of Boardman, former Browns player Felix Wright, Steve Jones, Larry Rizer, Greg Hicks, Ron Iarussi, Chase Evans, Thomas Seifert, Orlando Jordan, Steve Stroney, Andrew Zabel, George Dimos, Christina Esparra, Jessica Shields, Lisa Saxon, Adrienne Toth, Robert Morales, Emily Smerchansky, Alex Zoldan, Dr. John Cox, Lisa Stroney, Rick Zitkovic, Todd Muckleroy, Justin Turner and Deryck Toles. Bishop George V. Murry will give the blessing, and Cortney MacKay will sing the national anthem.
