BINGO/Card PARTIES
Holy Apostles Parish and the Daughters of Sts. Peter and Paul Church will host a Valentine Bingo and Card Party at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown. The donation is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. A lunch of pasta, salad, rolls, dessert and drinks will be provided. Also featured will be a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle.
RAFFLES
Boardman Lions Club is planning a fundraiser, Night at the Races, for March 7 at the Operating Engineers Hall, 291 McClurg Road, Boardman. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and food will be served. Admission is $10, which includes food, pop, water and beer. There will be a 50-50 raffle, gift card tree, basket raffles and a silent auction. Tickets will be available at the door.
St. Stephen Church in Niles will be having its annual Luck of the Irish Reverse Raffle and Fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. March 7 at Ciminero’s Banquet Center, 123 N. Main St., Niles. Tickets cost $50 and include dinner and an entry into the reverse raffle, which has a guaranteed prize of $1,500. Also featured will be an open bar, basket raffle, silent and live auctions, games and prizes. Tickets also are available for the raffle only at $35. St. Michael Church, 300 N. Broad St., Canfield, will host its ninth annual parish Wine Taste Friday in the Family Life Center. Proceeds will benefit the Center. For information, contact the parish office at 330-533-6839.
TRIPS
Trumbull County Travel Club invites those interested in traveling and making new friends to go along on the first outing in 2015. On Feb. 11, the club will visit the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Travelers will explore two continents: the rainforest of Costa Rica and the spiny desert of Madagascar plus visit the art gallery and the gift shop. After lunch on your own, door-to-door service will be given to the sixth annual Cleveland Home & Garden Show. On March 17, the club will fly to Pensacola, Fla.’s, white sand beaches plus spend three days in New Orleans. Call for details. The club is open to those over 21. There is no membership fee. Meetings are twice a year to talk about trip ideas. Meetings usually take place in Howland. Members travel by motor coach, train, plane and cruise ship. Passports are sometimes needed.
