Austintown police investigate home burglary

AUSTINTOWN

A home was burglarized in the township during the weekend.

Austintown police responded to a home at 2:40 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of South Edgehill Avenue after the homeowner found the home ransacked.

According to a police report, the front door was pried open and $100 taken from the home. Rooms had been gone through but only the cash was taken.

It happened sometime between 8 p.m. Saturday and 2:40 a.m. Sunday.
