4 injured, including 3 shot, in Warren bar fight

Three men were sent to the hospital with gunshot wounds, two of them shot in the torso, and a fourth man suffered a serious head injury from being hit in the head with a chair during a fight at the Paradise Lounge early Saturday.

No one was arrested, and police have no suspects, said Lt. Jeff Cole of the Warren Police Department. adding that detectives are working on the case again today.

“It started as a bar fight,” Cole said of the 1:15 a.m. incident. “The end result was a guy got hit with a chair and gunshots ring out.”

A 28-year-old Burton Street Southeast man was taken to the hospital for a “severe laceration” to the head as a result of being hit with the chair, according to a Warren police report.

Shot in the torso were men 23 of Taylor Street Northwest and 19 of Burton Street Southwest. A fourth man, of Larchmont Avenue Northeast, was shot in the arm.

No information was available on the hospitals any of them were taken to or their condition, though Cole said he would consider a gunshot to be a “serious injury.”
