Rachel Stanko and Kyle Sheehan are engaged, her parents are announcing.

Miss Stanko is the daughter of Mark and Nancy Stanko, all of Boardman.

Mr. Sheehan, of Boardman, is the son of Penny Sheehan of Poland and Daniel Sheehan of Youngstown.

The couple are planning a wedding for May 30 at Infant Jesus of Prague Church and a reception afterward at Drake’s Landing in Canfield. Both will be by invitation.

The bride-elect graduated from the University of Akron with an associate degree in surgical technology and from Mercy College of Ohio with an associate degree in nursing. She is an operating room registered nurse for the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods.

The prospective groom earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Youngstown State University. He is employed as a special education teacher for Mahoning County Educational Service Center.
