AUSTINTOWN

Jake Bullen scored 19 points, Anthony Pangio had 17 and Derek Hunter added 14 and the Falcons took control early with a 28-5 first-quarter run to rout the Tigers. Luciano Romeo led Howland with 11 points.

Newton Falls 75, Grand Valley 42

NEWTON FALLS

Jaden Walton scored 23 points and Adam Czerniak added 19 for the Tigers (10-5). Matt Larned had 14 for the Mustangs.

Canton Central Catholic 62, Cardinal Mooney 48

CANTON

Mark Mokros scored 15 points and the Crusaders used a 16-6 first quarter to set the pace. Andrew Armstrong had 11 points to lead the Cardinals (8-5).

Mineral Ridge 35, Lordstown 33

LORDSTOWN

The Rams managed just five points in the fourth quarter, but still managed to hold off the Red Devils. Nick Ferguson, Mac White and Zane Rummell each scored nine points for Mineral Ridge. Andrew Applegate led Lordstown with nine.

Bristol 93, Ledgemont 24

BRISTOLVILLE

Jamie de Lope scored 26 points and made 15 rebounds to lead the Panthers. Alex Jones scored 18 points while Bryan Gabrielson and Bryce Gabrielson each contributed 11 points and six assists. For Ledgemont, Andrew Fabian and Logan Leightman each scored eight points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Howland 55, Warren Harding 49

HOWLAND

Sara Price just missed a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds and Victoria Rappach (11 points) and Alexis Ross (10) also scored in double figures as the Tigers (13-4, 7-2 All-American Conference Red) beat the Raiders (9-9, 3-6). Harding cut Howland’s lead to 51-49 with less than a minute to play, but Ross made two foul shots and Rappach made two more in the closing seconds to clinch the victory. Alasjia Dykes led the Raiders with 20 points and Shymara Dykes had 16.

Canfield 70, East 24

CANFIELD

Erin Risner scored 20 points to lead the Cardinals against their All-American Conference Red Tier opponent. Ashley Kaleel, Lynnae Whitehead and Emily Ellis each scored eight points. For the Panthers, Jauday Bowers led with 10 points.

Struthers 56, Niles 26

NILES

Caitlin Kane scored 18 points to lead the Wildcats (10-6, 7-2 AAC White). Also scoring in double figures were Preshus Brown with 16 and Aracelli Perez with 11. For the Red Dragons (3-12), Sara Marz scored eight.

Lakeview 62, Hubbard 35

Addison Becker scored 20 points and Annie Pavlansky added 18 for the Bulldogs (16-2, 10-0 AAC White). Emily Manion led the Eagles with 13 points.

Amy Mikulich scored 20 points and Marcy Dykes added 10 for the Leopards. Allyiah Hakeem scored 10 points for the Red Devils.

LaBrae 52, Grand Valley 44

LEAVITTSBURG

Haley Davies led the Vikings with 15 points and Angelica Parker had 11. For Grand Valley, Jessica Vormelker led with 29 points.

Ursuline 47, Columbiana 38

YOUNGSTOWN

Angelica Kratzer led the Irish with a career-high 14 points off the bench. Megan Ross scored 10. For the Clippers (16-3), Alexis Cross led with 11 points.

Cardinal Mooney 57, Youngstown Christian 53, OT

YOUNGSTOWN

Jaclyn Yankle scored 27 points and the Cardinals used a 14-3 fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. The Cardinals outscored the Eagles 15-11 in overtime. Dasjhia Parks had 20 points for the Eagles.

West Branch 64, Marlington 38

MARLINGTON

Melinda Trimmer scored 22 points and had 13 assists for the Warriors (16-1). Up four at the half, the Warriors pulled away with an 19-10 third quarter. Zoey Peck had 13 points for the Dukes (8-9).
