Lauren Jancay, Mathew Shar to wed Aug. 22

Lauren Jancay of Charleston, Tenn., and Mathew Shar of Leetonia are engaged.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lawrence and Joanne Jancay of Boardman.

The future groom is the son of Richard and Darla Shar of Leetonia.

The couple are planning their wedding for 3 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Hotel Conneaut Grand Crystal Ballroom in Conneaut Lake, Pa. The reception will immediately follow the ceremony.

The bride-elect graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University. She is employed as a mechanical engineer for Olin Chemicals of Charleston.

The prospective groom attends YSU in pursuit of a mechanical engineering degree. He works for BOC of Salem.
