SATURDAY

Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will serve Swiss steak dinners from 4 to 6 p.m. Meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, bread and butter, beverage and dessert. Takeouts are available. Cost is $9.50 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and under. Church is handicap-accessible. For information call 330-394-2827.

SUNDAY

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 state Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will serve a breakfast brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. The meal comprises French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with maple or apple syrup, scrambled eggs, peppers, onions and cheese, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve homestyle breakfasts from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Menu items are eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea. The breakfast is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary.

UPCOMING

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will sell takeout cavatelli dinners with homemade sauce from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 6, or until sold out. Meal includes two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter, and dessert for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball will be $5. Pasta fagioli will be sold for $6 a quart and pasta sauce for $5 a quart. Place your order, remain in your car and your dinner will be delivered to you.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Newton Falls Post 3332 Auxiliary will have a breakfast fundraiser from 8:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 10 in the banquet hall, 433 Arlington Road. All proceeds will benefit local veterans and veterans programs. Cost is $7 per person, and children under 4 eat for free. Meal includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, bacon, sausage and orange juice, coffee and tea.
