2-month-old baby dies; father admits shaking incident

YOUNGSTOWN — A 2-month-old baby boy being treated for injuries after he was shaken in his South Garland Avenue home Dec. 15 died overnight.

The baby's father John Albino Serrano, 31, was arrested for felonious assault after police said he admitted shaking the baby.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing today in municipal court.

Should the death be ruled a homicide, it would be the 23rd of the year for Youngstown.
