Hope Foundation offers $2,000 grant to Flying Horse Farms

Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley has awarded a $2,000 grant to Flying Horse Farms to help underwrite the medical costs of up to five campers in 2016 from Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
The Farm in Mount Gilead, Ohio, provides a weekend and weeklong camp experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families, free of charge.
The children who attend have illnesses including cancer, heart conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, blood disorders, severe asthma, gastrointestinal disorders and craniofacial anomalies.
Campers enjoy regular camp activities like swimming, boating, fishing, archery and more, and on-site medical center is staffed at all hours by medical professionals from children’s hospitals.
