City of Hubbard issues water-conservation, boil-advisory alerts

HUBBARD — The city has issued a voluntary water-conservation request starting today. The city is repairing a few minor leaks on its main water-transmission line, and the project should take eight to nine hours to complete.

Water users are asked to try to refrain from any unnecessary usage if possible.

In addition, the city has issued a precautionary boil-water advisory from 7 p.m. today until 8 a.m. Wednesday, unless given further notice. It is recommended that water be boiled for one minute and allowed to cool before drinking, use in cooking or personal hygiene. This is a precautionary measure, a news release says.
