up for adoption

Name: Charles

Info: This sweet 4-year-old lab/shepherd mix came to Angels from the Mahoning County Dog Pound. Volunteers think he may have previously been abused, and this makes him very shy and reticent. However, once he learns you’re not going to hurt him, he is very sweet, warm and affectionate. He needs a gentle adopter who will give him lots of love and banish his fears. Charles is dog friendly and warms up to kind people, and he loves to run and play.

Name: Pause

Info: Pause was previously adopted from the shelter and had a loving home. However, his family lost their home and he had to be returned. Pause has been at Angels for a few months, where he often seems sad and confused that he’s in a strange place that is not his home. He’s shy but ready to give a lot of love. Come to see Pause and help him find a forever home.

Hours: Noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; noon to 8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; and closed Sunday and Monday.

Info: Angels pets are put up for adoption with shots, worming, neutering or spaying. Cats have been tested for feline AIDS and leukemia, and dogs, for heartworm and temperament.
