AWARDS

Three local Allstate agency owners received the “Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Award” for their commitment to helping others and community service. Because of their outstanding volunteerism, the Allstate Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to each nonprofit in the Youngstown area where these agents volunteer. The local agents are: Peggy Gum in Youngstown, for the American Cancer Society and Compass Family and Community Services; Rob Martin in Warren, for the American Cancer Society; and James Warneke in Calcutta, for Boy Scouts of America. The Allstate Foundation awards $2 million every year to nonprofit organizations across the country in honor of dedicated Allstate agency owners who give back to their communities through outstanding volunteerism. To be eligible for nomination, Allstate agency owners must volunteer, mentor or lead a nonprofit of their choice.

A national publication that covers the document-imaging industry has named Austintown’s Team Office Technologies an “Elite Dealer of the Year.” The award was announced in the December 2015 issue of Engage ‘n Exchange magazine, which states that companies selected for this award demonstrate “entrepreneurship and innovative marketing and sales initiatives, as well as company culture, corporate citizenship and community involvement.” Team Office Technologies, founded in 2003, is located at 118 N. Canfield-Niles Road. Team Office offers Toshiba brand copiers/MFP’s, Dell brand servers, custom software development/database integration, copier and server technical support and office supplies.

BANKING

Farmers National Bank in Howland recently added a key employee to continue its tradition of extraordinary customer service. Shawn Pompelia of Warren has been hired as vice president/relationship manager/ client services. Pompelia comes to Farmers with more than 15 years of senior-level banking management experience. He has a bachelor’s degree from Thiel College and graduated from the Ohio University School of Banking.

First National Bank, the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corp., has announced the recent hiring of Rebecca Greenwood as vice president, manager of the Boardman Office, 670 Boardman-Poland Road in Boardman. As branch manager, Greenwood oversees the sales and operations of the Boardman office. Greenwood has more than 22 years of managerial experience at the branch level in Northeast Ohio.
