WARREN

Atty. Thomas B.J. Letson and businesswoman Diane R. Sauer were among 10 people inducted into the Association of Ohio Commodores earlier this month in Columbus.

The Association of Commodores was founded by former Gov. James A. Rhodes in 1966 to honor 60 Ohio businessmen who accompanied him on Ohio’s first international trade mission.

Since then, more than 300 men and women have been appointed as recognition of their contributions to economic development in their communities and the state, according to the Commodores’ website. Membership is only possible through appointment by the governor.

Letson of Warren has practiced law in Trumbull County for more than 25 years and served as a state representative for eight years.

Sauer is president of Diane Sauer Chervolet in Warren. She started in the accounting department at Martin Chevolet in 1976 and bought the dealership in 1993, changing the name to Diane Sauer Chevrolet in 2003.

She is involved in numerous organizations, including board member of the Children’s Rehabilitation Center Foundation, and served as the first chairwoman of the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association.
