Economic-development manual offered

A manual from Ohio’s attorney general aims to give businesses, local elected officials and others an overview of the state’s various law and programs that impact economic development.
Attorney General Mike DeWine says local leaders and businesses outside the state may be unfamiliar with the policies governing economic development. He says Ohio has lacked a one-stop source that outlines state laws, tax systems, funding sources and agencies that play a role in economic development.
DeWine says the guide identifies some public and private programs to consider when trying to attract or retain business in Ohio. It also contains a chapter on public records laws and public access to meetings.
His office says the manual is online and being provided to local Chambers of Commerce and others.
