Santa’s Workshop and other events were open to the students and families of West Boulevard Elementary during the week of Nov. 30 through Dec. 4.

West Boulevard Elementary hosted several holiday events. “We have Santa’s Workshop going on, we have a giving tree, we have Koins for Kids, a book fair,” said West Boulevard principal, Al Cervello.

With the holiday season approaching, West Boulevard is helping out all they can to raise money for those in need. The giving tree was available for the students to donate items for the less fortunate. The school also had Koins for Kids which is a charity to help raise money for those in need. Students could donate their spare change for a good cause.

While the students work on raising money for charity for the holidays, they also were given the chance to purchase gifts for themselves and their friends and families. The book fair and Santa’s Workshop took place during the same week for the students and their families to visit.

The students could purchase items from Santa’s Workshop and the book fair during school hours so their gifts could be a surprise. These events were also open to the families of the students so they could work on their holiday shopping as well.

The money raised during the workshop and book fair help out the school. The funds are used towards different school needs, such as supplies, as well as different programs the school hosts.
