WARREN

Anthony J. McClintock, 28, of Adelaide Avenue Southeast and Robert Avenue Northwest, who police said ran from officers, crashed into another vehicle and ran through a window at the Red Lobster restaurant in Niles, remains in the Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond.

Howland police chased McClintock after spotting him doing “donuts” Monday afternoon in the Kohl’s parking lot near Eastwood Mall.

His vehicle struck another vehicle, injuring the occupants of the other vehicle, and McClintock ran through the nearby Wendy’s and Red Lobster restaurants before he was apprehended by Howland Police Chief Paul Monroe and other Howland officers.

McClintock was arraigned Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court on charges of failure to comply with the orders of a police officer, receiving stolen property, drug possession, driving under suspension, failure to stop after an accident, falsification and resisting arrest.

According to police, the receiving-stolen-property charge stems from McClintock’s taking the vehicle he was driving from the parking lot of the Kmart store on Parkman Road without permission Monday.

The drug charge stemmed from his arrest Dec. 18 during a traffic stop near Youngstown Road and Adelaide Avenue Southeast. Suspected heroin also was found in his clothes during the stop, Warren police said.
